THE NEW ABNORMAL was a site-specific live performance on the streets of Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. The coronavirus pandemic is still a serious threat, not only to our health but also to Germany’s theatre landscape. Theatres are only re-opening very slowly and under strict hygiene and safety regulations, and dance needs to find new ways to reach an audience. THE NEW ABNORMAL was a first attempt of combining aspects of live-choreography with the immediacy of an urban outdoor setting.
