I just finished teaching two weeks of Open Classes at Tanzhaus NRW and Tanzplattform Rhein-Main. Very inspiring to meet all those dancers hungry to move forward and sweat with me. Like usual, I wanna share my playlist with anyone interested. I’m totally in love with the new King Krule, so start with THE OOZ but go ahead and listen to all the albums to discover some new tunes…

I always spend quite some time reading reviews on Pitchfork, FACT Magazine or Consequence of Sound, listening to the newest releases, trying to find the most suitable and fun music for my classes.

But the last two weeks have been exceptionally inspiring when it comes to music. During my stay in DĂĽsseldorf I was lucky enough to see a show by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and it was hands down one of the best concerts I’ve been to. What a blessing to see such a master at work. If Nick’s ever coming to a venue near you, don’t miss the chance, stop what you’re doing and get tickets! Meanwhile watch a brilliant performance of STAGGER LEE from a 2014 episode of Austin City Limits:

I also had the pleasure to see Sharon Eyal’s company L-E-V with their double bill SARA / KILLER PIG at Bockenheimer Depot while teaching in Frankfurt. Really loved the show and (like usual) loved Ori Lichtik’s music. On the off chance that you don’t know Ori yet… well just turn up the speakers, play his latest mix and dance, dance, dance!
