Ten young dancers on the path to becoming professionals were fortunate to be selected by Emanuel Gat—via video—to participate in one of Montpellier Danse’s creations. To craft Le Rouge et le Noir, the choreographer drew inspiration from the unique personalities of each dancer, who come from very diverse backgrounds.
On Tuesday, July 5th, as part of Montpellier Danse, the Place de la Ramade was transformed into a dance stage for the final open-air performance of Le Rouge et le Noir. [...] Despite the heat, the eight dancers demonstrated exceptional physical mastery and teamwork. [...] The audience gave prolonged applause to the dancers and Emanuel Gat, who was present.
