A basement drama, somewhere in Bielefeld's abandoned industrial landscape, is presented by Tiago Manquinho in collaboration with members of the acting and dance ensemble. Through video projection, a mysterious story unfolds, in which John Wesley Zielmann searches for food in a blue cup, and the protagonists, after enduring agonizing pain in the basement, are finally allowed to tumble through the graffiti-sprayed landscape.
Tiago Manquinho is far from having any fear of contact, as he involved ensemble members from various disciplines in his dance video IRIS and encouraged them to participate in a soul-thriller. It implies images of loneliness, entrapment, and inescapability. A nightmare that begins in the suffocating confinement of a basement and loops endlessly in a desolate courtyard neighborhood. It's palpably uncomfortable how Manquinho captures subconscious fears in a sequence of scenes.
