A vibrant display merging ballet with the spirit of the 1980s. [...] All in all, it marked an engaging continuation of the "Lovetrain" project, which Gat brings to life with different companies.
A fascinating season opener for Tanz Linz with colorful costumes and plenty of creativity. [...] Alongside solos, the energy of the entire community impresses as a reflection of a vibrant society, where, despite all individuality, the focus is primarily on the power of togetherness.
The resulting sequences and images are often breathtakingly acrobatic, frequently immersing one in a riot of colors, but, of course, there are also moments of pause and reflection. [...] Enthusiastic applause.
The degree of honesty, authenticity, and artistic integrity, particularly in the interspersed solos and duets that offer each performer space for personal expression, reaches a level that profoundly moves the audience. [...] The sold-out music theatre expressed its gratitude with a standing ovation and sustained applause.
Tanz.Linz once again unleashes concentrated power, energy, and elegance on stage. [...] The audience expressed their experiences with thunderous applause and standing ovations.
Tanz Linz has made a triumphant comeback. [...] Every member is an artist and can beautifully demonstrate this in a variety of solos. Synchronized ensemble movements captivate with incredible precision, further enhanced by the costumes and lighting.
The dancers have their own creative freedom but must prove themselves in often particularly exposed solos or perfectly choreographed group formations, occasionally freezing into tableaux vivants. Once again, the Linz company delivers on its promise.
The dancers at the Musiktheater Linz are simply mesmerizing as they bring Emanuel Gat's "Lovetrain 2.0" to the stage. To hits by Tears for Fears from the 1980s, they deliver a love letter to dance, carried by a choreography that grants the performers maximum individual freedom.
Anyone in Austria seeking continuous high-level contemporary dance should head to the rising Tanz Linz ensemble. [...] This is what intense, multifaceted dance can look like, ranging from a technique-based display of skill to a pared-down intensity that feels like inner depth; here, everything is possible.
It is also a show, a perfectly choreographed circle of perfect bodies. Each one seems capable of every movement, light as birds when needed, but also as heavy as tonnage, even the most delicate beings. The unbridled flow of aesthetics, harmony, and joy of life culminates in a vast stage sky, met with the huge applause of the delighted audience.
