STRUT DANCE

STRUT Dance is the national centre for choreographic development, based in Perth, Western Australia.

Through their unique programming, STRUT Dance offers choreographers and dance practitioners the possibility to really engage with great national and international masters, the chance to work with collaborative partners in the making of their own performance, and the opportunity to put their work in front of a willing and informed audience.

STRUT Dance creates opportunities for the local dance community and simultaneously introduces the work of international choreographers like Ohad Naharin, Emanuel Gat, Hofesh Shechter, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, or Crystal Pite to the Australian audience.

In 2019 Something Machine was selected as one of STRUT’s SEED residency recipients, resulting in the showing of a performative installation called THE 2ND EXCESSIVE RUDENESS at King Street Arts Center.
