NUOVA OFFICINA DELLA DANZA

In 2007 Silvana Ranaudo took over the direction of the Officina della Danza a.s.d. association, which later became the Nuova Officina della Danza (NOD).

NOD’s intention is to promote excellence in dance in Italy and to prepare young talents for their careers in the dance world. In order to achieve this NOD proposes a broad training program with teachers and choreographers, who are among the best in the world. Next to daily classes in ballet, modern and contemporary dance NOD offers choreographic labs as well as repertory workshops.

Since 2009 NOD has been a partner of the Peridance & Capezio Center in New York. Every year NOD is a venue for their scholarship selection. In June 2012 NOD started collaborating with the renowned Batsheva Dance Company from Tel Aviv with the incentive to introduce and spread Ohad Naharin’s GAGA technique in Italy.

Some of the teachers collaborating with NOD are Tom Weinberger, Spenser Theberge, Sita Ostheimer, Bryan Arias, Iñaki Azpillaga, Maëva Berthelot, Sharon Fridman, Keren Rosenberg, Doug Letheren and Rebecca Hytting.
