Jin Xing Dance TheatreJin Xing Dance Theatre was established in 1999 by its founder and artistic director Jin Xing and quickly became recognized as China’s first and foremost contemporary dance company.

Due to its high international profile the company has been frequently invited to perform in leading theatres and at numerous festivals in its home country and in the Western world. In honour of her outstanding achievements Jin Xing was named Chevalier de l’Ordre des Lettres et des Arts and has been asked to serve as China’s Cultural Ambassador on many Occasions. One of her trademark productions BLACK AND RED received China’s Ministry of Culture’s award for best contemporary art.

The companies repertory includes Jin Xing’s own expansive body of work as well as choreographies by Michael Schumacher, Moya Michael, Arthur Kuggeleyn and Emanuel Gat.
