Visual artist and filmmaker Darko Dragičević was born in 1979 in Belgrade, Serbia. He currently lives in Berlin and works internationally. Dragičević’s interest lies in interdisciplinary projects with a focus on exploring cross methods within the fields of visual arts, film and performance.
His art works have been featured in various solo and group exhibitions such as David Zwirner Gallery New York, The Armory Show New York and OTTO ZOO Gallery Milan. His short films have been presented in numerous curated events and international film festivals such as Goethe-Institut Kyoto, FRAME International Dance Film Festival London and Deutsches Tanzarchiv Cologne.
His most recent projects include SONICE EXTENSIONS, a performance realized in collaboration with dancer and choreographer Martin Sonderkamp, SPLENDID CHAOS – a series of site specific performances and a whole range of different workshops and seminars.
As a Director he received awards from the Bosifest 7th International Film Festival for and by people with disabilities in Belgrade, 57th International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen and Casa del Cinema in Rome.
